STEAM Punks

Grades: K – 1st

Imagine a world where art and science intertwine to create a holistic approach to innovation. STEAM Punks will help students see how artistic thinking enhances problem-solving and scientific discovery! In this program, your child will explore how creativity fuels out of the box thinking. Students will blend the core elements of art with science, technology, engineering, and math through hands-on projects like sound science and nature painting. STEAM Punks is where imagination drives innovation!

Jr. STEM

Grades: K – 1st

Is your student passionate about STEM? Are they eager to explore the world and discover new things? Jr STEM is the perfect class for them! From planets and dinosaurs to robots and beyond, this hands-on experience delves into a wide range of STEM concepts. Your student will develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and creative skills, all while exploring STEM in a fun and supportive environment.

Little Engineers

Even our youngest students can be engineers. In this exciting new class, Little Engineers, students will learn how to use creativity and an understanding of materials, tools, mathematics, and science to design solutions to problems. We will unlock their creativity by introducing age-appropriate engineering and computer science challenges that develop cognitive, social, motor, and language skills.

Aerospace Exploration

Grades: 2nd – 3rd

Explore the science of aviation and the wonders of outer space in this exciting new class. Build and test your own model rockets, design aircraft, and learn about the technology that powers space exploration. Lego Robots Jr.

Lego Engineering

Grades: 6th – 7th

Lego Engineering engages students by providing the resources to design, build and program their creations while helping them develop essential skills such as creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and communication. This class will introduce students to block coding using the Intelligent Brick, a compact and powerful programmable computer that makes it possible to control motors and collect sensor feedback. No prior knowledge is required.

Video Game Development

Grades: 6th – 7th

In this after-school program, you’ll learn to create your own 2D video game using the powerful Construct 3 platform. Are you fascinated by how the human body works? Do you dream of becoming a doctor, nurse, or scientist? Join Anatomy Explorers, an exciting after-school program where you’ll dive into the incredible world of the human body! In this hands-on class, you’ll explore the mysteries of muscles, bones, organs, and more. Through interactive activities, experiments, and fun projects, you’ll learn how each part of the body works together to keep us healthy.

Science Of Flight!

Grades: 6th – 12th
Times: Mondays from 4:30 – 6:00 p.m.
Dates: September 30th, October 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th and November 4th, 11th, 18th

PLEASE NOTE: THIS CLASS WILL MEET OVER FALL BREAK

Come and learn about the science of flight and how to become a pilot from members of the St. George Civil Air Patrol.  Then put your knowledge to the test on a real flight simulator. This program uses Lockheed Martin’s Prepar3D flight simulator and TakeFlight instruction software.  If you are looking to get a jump start towards a career in flight, this is a great place to start.

Red Rock Math Circles

Grades: 6-12th graders
Times: Wednesdays from 4:30-5:30 p.m.
Dates: September 11th, 18th, 25th, October 2nd, 9th, 23rd, 30th and November 6th, 13th, 20th

Red Rock Math Circle at Utah Tech University is a program providing opportunities for students to enjoy math outside their school curriculum. Students will be actively involved with various math related activities, working with problem solving strategies and participating in math contests. 6-8th graders will be registered for AMC8 contests. 9-12th graders will be registered for AMC10/12 contests.
