STEM Pokémon Lab

Calling all trainers, scientists, and artists! In this exciting STEM-powered adventure, kids will dive into the world of Pokémon — but with a twist: they’ll get to invent their own! While learning biology, engineering, and creative maker skills, students will design original Pokémon species, craft custom Pokéballs, and even make their own trading cards to collect and swap!

Tiny Homes: From Nature to Neighborhoods

In this hands-on maker series, students will use Chomp Saws and creative design thinking to explore how living things build and adapt their habitats. From studying birds and insects to designing birdhouses and tiny homes, each week blends STEM learning with environmental science and engineering design. Students will gain confidence using maker tools, learn about ecosystems and animal adaptations, and apply those ideas to build functional and decorative cardboard creations.

Battle Bots-Junior Edition! LEGO EV3 Robot Wars

Get ready for an epic showdown in Battle Bots: LEGO EV3 Robot Wars! In this action-packed engineering class, kids will dive into the world of robotics by designing, building, and programming their very own battle bots using LEGO EV3 Mindstorm robots. Over the course of the camp, students will learn the principles of engineering, mechanics, and coding as they work to create a robot that can face off and win in a fight against their competition.

ChessCraft Jr.: Design and Discover

In this creative beginner’s class, students will learn the fundamentals of chess while exploring the art and design behind the game. Using strategy, math, and maker skills, participants will discover how each chess piece moves and works together, then bring their own ideas to life by designing custom pieces for 3D printing and building a personalized chessboard. Through guided play and hands-on creation, students will strengthen problem-solving, spatial reasoning, and creativity—leaving the class with both the confidence to play and a one-of-a-kind chess set they designed themselves.

Motion Commotion: Build, Race, and Roll!

It’s all about movement, momentum, and making things go! Students will step into the It’s all about movement, momentum, and making things go! Students will step into the shoes of engineers as they design and build two motion-based challenges: a working toy racetrack and a playable mini golf hole. Along the way, they’ll test how forces like friction and gravity affect motion, refine their prototypes, and discover what makes designs both fun and functional. Teamwork and creativity drive this high-energy STEM adventure!

Pokémon STEM Masters

Step into the lab, trainers! In this hands-on STEM class, kids will explore the world of Pokémon through real science and creative, maker-based inventing. From engineering Pokéball racers to learning about natural selection, habitats, and adaptations, students will bring their favorite universe to life while gaining real-world STEM skills. Plus, each student will create their own custom Pokémon and trading cards!

Arcade Engineering: Pinball Game Maker

In this hands-on maker class, students will design and build their very own cardboard pinball machines using the Chompsaw as their primary tool. Along the way, they’ll explore concepts in engineering design, CAD modeling, circuitry, and programming, combining creativity with technical skills to bring their games to life.

Arcade Engineering: Handheld Game Maker

Level up your making, coding, and creativity skills in this hands-on STEM class where students design and build their very own retro-style video game—just like the classics! From hardware to software, to arcade-style gameplay, students will learn the fundamentals of building, game design, computer science, and coding, using beginner-friendly game engines and tools. Each student will leave with their very own, custom retro video game!

ChessCraft: Build the Board, Master the Game!

In this hands-on maker class, students in grades 5–8 will blend strategy, creativity, and engineering as they learn intermediate chess skills while designing and building their own custom game sets. Participants will explore the logic and math behind chess—using geometry, pattern recognition, and spatial reasoning—then apply those concepts to design and 3D print personalized chess pieces and construct a one-of-a-kind board. By the end of the course, each student will take home a fully playable chess set that showcases both their strategic thinking and maker ingenuity.

Website Development: Create Your Own Page!

Let your creativity shine online! In this exciting hands-on class, students will learn how to build and launch fully functional websites from scratch! You’ll dive into the core web technologies—HTML for structure, CSS for style, and JavaScript for interactivity—to design webpages that look amazing and come to life. By the end of the class you’ll not only understand the magic behind the web, but also have your own personalized website to share with the world!

4-H Entrepreneur Program

The 4-H Entrepreneur program teaches youth how to start their own business to sell products or services. Youth who attend the 4-H Entrepreneur training can host a booth for their business at a local venue, where they will sell their products/services directly to the public. Youth participants will learn-by-doing in this program –they create real businesses and can make real sales!
